Barracks - Enlisted Soldiers Only

Lower enlisted Soldiers and junior NCO's may be required to stay in the barracks. Barracks space may be available for part of your stay and not for other parts so all Soldiers should be financially prepared to live on the economy (i.e. Government or personal charge card). NCO Academy students are normally required to stay in the barracks for their entire stay. Please check with the company to which you will be assigned for training before making any reservations

Army Lodging

Per the Joint Federal Travel Regulation (JFTR), uniformed service members must check in with on-post lodging prior to or upon their arrival. If on-post lodging is available, the service member may accept or decline it. If he declines available on-post lodging, then he is only entitled to lodging reimbursement up to the amount post lodging would have charged him instead of up to the Max Lodging Rate.

If Army Lodging or a LSP hotel is your first choice then you should make reservations as soon as possible. If you do not have the financial resources (Government Travel Card, personal charge card, or savings) to pay for 2-3 months of expenses living on the economy then Army Lodging should be your first choice. If you would prefer not to live in Army Lodging then do not make advance reservations. Army Lodging frequently fills up prior to class start dates. You will still need to check in with Army Lodging upon your arrival.

Please note that MI BOLC may require students to stay in post lodging or an LSP hotel, if available. MI BOLC students should NOT make any reservations until receiving permission from their chain of command. Please note that the posted BOLC letter is several fiscal years out of date. Current Max Lodging Rate and Post Lodging Rates are below.

ASOC may require students to stay at a lodging facility designed by the course. Please check with your course cadre or Welcome Packet before making any reservations.

Main Gate Directions: Enter Main gate from Highway AZ-90, follow Squire Avenue approximately 3 miles (one way street) to intersection of Winrow (a Y in the road), take left fork of Y to Allison Road, and veer to the right. At the top of the hill, take a left at the 3-story building and follow signs to Lodging Office (Building 43083).

Lodging Success Program

The Lodging Success Program (LSP) is a government program that applies to mission TDY requirements. Institutional training travel guidelines are issued under separate cover by the ODCS, G-3/5/7.

Official travelers may be required by their TDY orders (DD Form 1610 Block 16, Remarks) to use LSP hotels when on-post lodging is not available AND there is an overall travel cost savings. The LSP is supposed to provide high quality lodging at rates typically 20% below the Max Lodging Rate. In addition, many LSP locations are tax exempt.

At Fort Huachuca, all LSP hotels charge the Max Lodging Rate and are NOT tax-exempt so there is no travel cost savings. Therefore, official travelers may refuse LSP hotels and select lodging arrangements of their choosing without financial penalty.

TDY Housing's online database consists of more than 150 rental properties in the Sierra Vista/Fort Huachuca area. It includes apartments, mountain cabins, condos, townhouses, single-family homes, and luxury homes; studios to 4 bedrooms; furnished and unfurnished. Pets are accepted in designated homes.

Most furnished homes are priced within the Max Lodging Rate. Some larger single-family homes are priced within the Max Per Diem Rate. Luxury homes are priced within the Max Lodging Rate for 2-3 official travelers.
